Job Description

Our client is seeking an Accounting manager who will oversee the accounts department and accounts team and evaluate day-to-day activities, leading the accounts team (2 x members), establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for consolidating, analysing, verifying and reporting information. Delegating tasks, when necessary, oversee payroll, tax filing, budgeting, financial management, financial reporting, regulating submission and other department responsibilities as requested by the directors. This role is open to both full-time and part-time applicants.

Role Responsilbities

– Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department methods, policies and principles.

– Monitor, prepare and analyse group financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and group consolidations.

– Manage financial record-keeping and bookkeeping processes.

– Ability to prioritise workload and ensure timely completion of processes.

– Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

– Ensure compliance with taxation and regulatory requirements.

– Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as necessary.

– Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.

– Supporting and providing annual performance, budget, Gambling Supervision Commission and VAT reports.

– Further develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.

– Preparation and submission of VAT returns.

– Month and end-year processes

– Ensure proper accounting methods, policies and principles are in place and followed.

Skills & Experience Required

– Minimum 3 years proven experience in a similar accounting / management role (accounting qualification CAT, ACA OR ACCA).

– A good understanding and working knowledge of Sage / MS Excel.

– Up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices.

– An understanding of accounting in multiple currencies.

– Experience in preparation of VAT returns.

– Proficiency in accounting software: Sage, Excel and Office Suite.

– Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

– Comply with the requirements set out in the Staff Handbook and other operational policy and procedures issued by the company.

– Provide support with any other tasks as assigned by the COE / Director for and behalf of the company.

– Experience in an online Gaming sector would be an advantage, but not essential.

– Familiar with handling group consolidations.

– Able to work independently as well as within a team.
