Job Description
Our client is currently seeking a line operative who will take responsibility for efficiently delivering high quality meat products ready for the market.
Role Responsibilities
– Performing all stages of the primary conversion of cattle, sheep and pigs.
– Breaking carcasses into quarters for further processing
– Deboning into primals for wholesale and retail processing
Skills & Experience Required
– Knowledge of animal anatomy and meat cuts
– Ability to use knives, saws, and other tools safely and efficiently
– Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy carcasses and work in cold and wet conditions
– Compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
– Respect for animal welfare
– Ability to learn, manage and safely operate machinery
– Highly organized and driven, an effective time manager
– Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
