Job Description
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Facilities Assistant to assist with the running of their offices in Douglas on a part-time basis.
Role Responsibilities
– Monitoring the maintenance contract with a third-party service provider, ensuring scheduled work is carried out promptly and effectively
– Arranging ad-hoc maintenance, repairs, or cleaning as required
– Liaising with contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure the timely completion of tasks while minimising disruption to tenants and operations
– Working closely with the security system to ensure all security protocols are followed
– Key holder responsibilities for alarm call-outs
– Monitoring tenant adherence to the building’s Health and Safety Policy and assisting in maintaining up-to-date risk assessments and safety protocols
– Acting as the point of contact for tenants
– Covering for the Filing Administrator to fulfil filing/archiving requests.
Skills & Experience Required
– Experience in facilities management, ideally overseeing maintenance contracts and repairs
– Familiarity with Health and Safety at Work regulations, with the ability to implement and monitor health and safety policies
– Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
– Previous experience in a professional office environment
– Familiarity with security systems and emergency procedures.
– Diligently keep accurate records
– Flexible and adaptable in approach to tasks
– First Aid/Fire Marshal trained or willing to undergo training.
