Trainee Administrator – Investments

Job Description

An excellent Trainee opportunity has arose with our client. This position will be highly varied, working with investment controls and governance within our clients Investment Operations department.

Role Responsibilities
– Sourcing, verifying, investigating, and calculating fund prices accurately and promptly

– Processing corporate actions by reviewing notifications received and completing system updates

– Applying investment income to enhance policy values

– Reconciling investment positions

– Reviewing assets to ensure they comply with regulations and product rules

– Understanding of Data Protection responsibilities

– Ensure compliance and regulatory legislation requirements are met and adhered to

– Support the team, including answering queries, checking, training, and coaching

– Complete work to meet set service standards and deadlines

– Demonstrate awareness of the potential risks of the area and be able to evidence the controls in place to mitigate them

– Highlight any efficiency opportunities within the area, suggesting changes

– Identify and report issues, suggesting solutions where possible

– Plan for different pressure points and work scenarios and re-organise accordingly

– Complete daily pricing and corporate actions processes

– Assist with reconciliations and data cleansing activities

– Process investment income in an accurate and timely manner

– Complete reporting such as daily prices file or data analysis

– Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

– Analytical mindset

– The ability to maintain positive relationships with all parties

– A high level of professionalism in your approach to your work

– An understanding of the importance of treating customers fairly and delivering for them consistently

– Ability to work collaboratively with the team and also on own initiative
