Job Description
Our client is currently seeking a Senior Dealer for their Investment Operations Department. In this position you will have an important role to play within our clients Portfolio Bond Dealing Team; contributing to the placement of over 100,000 trades per year totaling over £3bn, ensuring all work is done within our service level agreement and to an exceptional degree of accuracy.
Role Responsibilities
– Process dealing instructions containing retail assets in line with dealing approved limits for our personalised portfolio bonds, as per service standards and to a high degree of accuracy.
– Assist with complex enquiries from policyholders, advisers and members of the sales team, quickly and efficiently.
– Investigative and error remediation work and processing Investment corrections as required
– Work closely with colleagues to deliver a positive experience for our customers throughout the life cycle of their policy.
– Providing mentorship and training to new members of the team as well as participating in cross-training to ensure a flexible and agile workforce
– Assist with ad-hoc investment related tasks as required.
– Liaise with stockbrokers and custodians as required.
Skills & Experience Required
– Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a dealing or Investments environment (ideally within the life Assurance industry) and a good understanding of Investments.
– 5 GCSE’s grades A-C or equivalent, including English and Maths
– High level of accuracy
– Good communication skills
– Proven ability to work to deadlines in a high pressurised environment
– Hold or working towards the CISI Introduction to Securities & Investments; or IOC qualification with previous experience of AWD would be advantageous
