Job Description

As a Project Manager you will be responsible in ensuring that the Projects assigned to you are delivered on time, within budget and to the agreed scope and quality set out in the Project Initiation Documents and subsequent findings reports.

Role Responsibilities:
– Developing, maintaining and delivering to the Project and stage plan;
– Day to day project management of the Project/s;
– Managing the handover points across the Project/s and ensuring that other project team members are aware of their responsibilities;
– Project/s risk and issue management;
– Evaluation, monitoring and regularly reviewing and reporting on progress of the Project/s (in accordance the reporting requirements of the Programme);
– Ensuring that project/s documentation is complete, current and subject to appropriate approvals and the Programme’s Change Control Approach;
– Working with the Project Lead/s through all stages of the Project/s:
* to specify the requirements of the stakeholders for the Project’s outputs;
* to ensure that the Project’s outputs are optimised to best meet the needs of the health and care system as a whole;
* to ensure that the Project’s outputs meet the needs of all stakeholders, particularly in terms of quality and ease of use; and
* to ensure that the expected benefits to be realised by the implementation and use of the Project’s outputs are clearly documented and understood;
– Leading on the identification of necessary resources for the Project/s and working with the Transformation Programme Management Office and the Office of Human Resources to arrange appointment of other members of the Project team;

Skills & Experience Required:
– A proven track record of managing successful projects;
– Experience of adaptive management approaches/complex systems improvements;
– Awareness of management of change principles such as approaches to preparing, supporting, and helping individuals, teams, and organisations to implement organisational change;
– Excellent communication skills including the ability to tailor communication style to different audiences and the ability to negotiate with and influence others;
– Leadership and team-building qualities, including teamwork, problem-solving, reporting, facilitating meetings and conducting workshops;

TERM
Until March 2023 but could be required longer.
