Job Description

Role Description:
Engineering Officer required to act as our site controller, responsible for managing LPG asset risk by ensuring statutory inspections and preventative and reactive maintenance tasks are scheduled for all fixed assets.

Role Responsibilities:
– Acting site controller on Upper-Tier COMAH site responsible for the onsite and offsite plan
– Being responsible for safe control and working practices for all LPG operations staff
– Ensuring site safety by implementing recommendations of the COMAH safety plan in line with the safety case
– Ensuring asset risk is reduced by managing statutory inspections and preventative and reactive maintenance tasks are scheduled completed for all fixed assets
– Supporting Asset Management objectives by ensuring data is captured accurately within the maintenance management system
– Manage all operational activities within agreed financial limits and provide both leading and lagging indicators to ensure effective monitoring
– Ensuring LPG ship programming and LPG discharge procedures are followed
– Taking responsibility for LPG transfer and tanker filling operations
– Managing the LPG cylinder filling operation and the efficient customer LPG delivery operation to community bulk LPG, mini bulk LPG and cylinder customers
– Participate in the standby rota as operational manager

Skills & Experience Required:
– Diploma/Certificate in first line management or relevant field
– Membership of or working towards a relevant professional body (for example CMI, ILM, IOSH, IGEM)
– At least 2 years proven experience in a supervisory/officer role
– Experience of Supervising and motivating a team
– Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff, customers and external bodies
– Clear, concise and articulate communication skills (both written and verbal)
